Terms & Conditions

1 - Charter (Whole-Boat) Bookings

  1. 25% deposit is due immediately upon booking. It is entirely non-refundable, unless the space is resold. In that case, 90% of the deposit will be refunded.
  2. Final Payment will be invoiced 90 days before departure and is due 60 days before departure. It is also entirely non-refundable, unless the space is resold. In that case, 90% of the total cruise price will be refunded.

2 - Individual – Cabin Bookings

  1. 25% deposit is due immediately upon booking.
  2. If cancellation occurs between the time payment is submitted and 120 days before departure, deposit is returned less $250.00 per person.
  3. At 120 days before departure, deposit becomes entirely non-refundable, unless space is resold. In that case, 90% of the deposit will be refunded.
  4. Final Payment will be invoiced 90 days before departure and is due 60 days before departure. It is also entirely non-refundable, unless the space is resold. In that case, 90% of the total cruise price will be refunded.

3 - Industry Standards

  1. These cancellation penalties are standard in the European barging industry and will be adhered to.

4 - Credit Cards

  1. Shannon Princess accepts VISA & Mastercard credit card payments.

5 - Medical & Travel Cancellation Insurance

  1. We strongly advise you to purchase medical & travel cancellation insurance.
  2. Your Travel Agent can supply information. We very rarely re-book spaces that are cancelled less than 90 days before departure.

6 - Route Changes

  1. Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, (drought, flood, lock repair, navigation authority directives), the vessel may be forced to cruise on an alternate route. We will inform you as soon as such changes occur, and will substitute an equally interesting route. Such a change in routing will not be accepted as cause for cancellation of the cruise.
